My mom just moves in Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Facility. Also, it is part of a nursing home complex, and my mom is hospice eligible so at this point, if she needs to have more specialized nursing care, her address won't change. She can just seamlessly move into the nursing area and then come back to her assisted living apartment as she is able. The rooms are very attractive, very updated, pleasant, bright with lots of windows, sunny, warm and not depressing at all.

They have people come in and play music on a beautiful piano, and she really enjoys that. They have been very accommodating in moving her in, getting televisions and a telephone hooked-up, and they just bend over backwards to make it as stress free as possible. The place seemed more utilitarian, and less like an comfortable, inviting home. Even if it was a little ugly, the nursing home was clean and not bad for the surely limited resources available. On the plus side, the staff seemed friendly and sincere. We were greeted with a smile by the woman at reception, and the staff member who escorted us around was very nice to the residents, even the ones that weren't too responsive. All and all, I don't think I would send a loved one here if I could afford better, but it surely isn't the worse possible option. I work there as agency nurse and staff and residents always helpful and nice.

In August 1888, Bertha Benz, the wife of Carl Benz, undertook the first road trip by car, to prove the road-worthiness of her husband's invention. Most definitions of cars say that they run primarily on roads, seat one to eight people, have four wheels, and mainly transport people instead of goods. Research into alternative forms of power includes using ammonia instead of hydrogen in fuel cells. Heavier cars are safer for the driver from a crash perspective, but more dangerous for other vehicles and road users.
